The client's request was:

* to localise the website for Croatian and Slovenian markets within the Kentico CMS interface, while maintaining consistency of a very complex and highly specialised terminology.

*to localise all current catalogue.

We put on waterproof toe cap shoes, put on safety glasses and safety helmets and got to work! It sounds simple, but when you are navigating a sea of technical ​​terms such as torpedo level, mini-cutter or mini-slicerdilemma, bender or crimper debate and the timeless question of rivet or nail gun, you realize that this is not just a translation, but a real linguistic heavy industry.

Of course, the preparation took longer than the shift on the construction site: first we extracted the content from the CMS, translated it with the help of Trados, checked in Verifika, entered segment by segment back into the Client’s interface… and after six months and around 5000 translated standard pages, everything finally fell into place like a screw in the right screw thread. We retrospectively compiled a glossary with the help of a Python script once the project was completed – cool, right? 😉
